World Economic outlook - how will Japan GDP 2013 : The Bank of Japan's monthly monetary policy meeting concluded today with no change in its policy of "aggressive monetary easing" – which it reserves the right to continue "as long as the bank judges it appropriate".

The decision comes as new economic data revealed a small but unexpected contraction in Japanese GDP in the fourth quarter of 2012, although monthly indicators and surveys suggest the economy has begun to pick up in the opening weeks of 2013.

World Economic outlook - How will effects Shinzo Abe stimulus on Japan Economic 2013 :  Poor Japanese manufacturing data on Friday gave new Prime Minister Shinzo Abe more ammunition to push for big spending and easy money to salvage the world's third-largest economy from decades of deflation and its fourth recession since 2000.

Japanese voters and the financial markets have welcomed the Abe government's aggressive stance on pumping cash into the economy, pushing the benchmark Nikkei share average .N225 on Friday to its highest level since the March 2011 tsunami, despite the worse-than-expected drop in factory output.

World Economic outlook - Japan Economic Growth Outlook 2013-2014 : According to an estimate by Taro Saito, head of the Economic Research Group at NLI Research Institute, Japan's real gross domestic product should rise by 2 percent in fiscal 2013 as consumers spend more freely ahead of the first hike in the tax.

However, in fiscal 2014, the GDP is expected to contract by 0.6 percent as a reaction to the spending in the previous year, as well as due to the additional burden from the higher tax rate.

After the consumption tax rate was raised from 3 percent to the current 5 percent in April 1997, the increase in real GDP dropped from 2.7 percent in fiscal 1996 to 0.1 percent in fiscal 1997. In fiscal 1998, the real GDP contracted by 1.5 percent.

World Economic outlook - Japan Economic Growth Q2 Outlook Report 8/13/ 2012 : In July, the Noda administration compiled an economic growth strategy that included a plan for the creation of 9.44 million jobs, including 4.24 million in the energy and medical fields, by 2020.


However, the plan only included goals, such as developing new pharmaceuticals and creating a new market for environment-related products which will be worth 50 trillion yen and create 1.4 million jobs.

World Economic outlook - Japan economic january-february 2012 : Japan’s core consumer prices fell year on year for the fourth consecutive month in January, suggesting mild deflation may persist this year as lacklustre wage growth curtails domestic demand. Core consumer prices declined an annual 0.1 percent, slightly less than the median estimate for a 0.2 percent decline, and a narrower measure that excludes both food and energy also fell in a sign that the Bank of Japan faces a long campaign to pull the economy out of deflation.

World Economic outlook -Japan core consumer prices index november 2011 ; apan's core consumer prices fell 0.2% in November, posting the second straight month of year-on-year drop, as the global economic slowdown threatens the price outlook in the world's third-largest economy, data released Wednesday by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications showed.

The November core reading matched the median economist forecast for -0.2% in a Market News International survey. It followed a 0.1% decline in October. In July, Japan's core CPI, which excludes perishables but includes energy, posted the first year-on-year gain since December 2008.

World Economic outlook - Japan trade deficit october 2011 : Japan's trade slipped back into deficit territory in October after recording a surplus the previous month, The Finance Ministry said in a preliminary report on November 21.

Japan posted a trade deficit of 274 Million Yen. Exports were down for the first time in 3 months, a 3.7-percent decline from a year earlier, while imports rose 17.9 percent.

The consumer price index for Ku-area of Tokyo in November 2011(preliminary) was 99.3(2010=100), down 0.6% from the previous month, and down 0.8% over the year.

Core consumer prices (All items, less food (less alcoholic beverages) and energy) declined by 1 percent over one year earlier.
