World Economic outlook - zambia inflation rate march 2012 : ZAMBIA’s inflation rate has increased to 6.4 per cent from last month’s six per cent, driven by mainly high food and non-alcoholic beverage prices while, the economy grew by 6.6 per cent at the end of 2011, the Central Statistical Office (CSO) has said.
The year-on-year annual rate of inflation derived from the revised all items Consumer Price Index (CPI) accelerated to 6.4 per cent from 6.0 per cent in February 2012, which was the lowest the country has recorded over the years.
